Hila is the Deputy Head at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator, and she was recently appointed as the co-chair of the UN Innovation Network (UNIN) on behalf of WFP. She connects the WFP Innovation Accelerator with global innovation networks, companies and impact actors to work towards Zero Hunger and to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Hila has utilised her extensive background in private sector innovation and start-up ecosystems in combination with her experience in WFP operations since joining the Accelerator in 2015, when it was founded.
Hila’s leadership in the team contributed to the WFP Innovation Accelerator being named as one of the ‘Best Workplaces for Innovators’ (2020, 2021) and an ‘Innovation Team of the Year’ (2020) by Fast Company, for ongoing work in sourcing, nurturing, and scaling innovative start-ups focused global impact at scale and Hila received the Silver Anthem Award for Non Profit Leader of the Year in 2023.
Prior to joining WFP, Hila advised high-tech clients as a corporate lawyer at a leading Tel Aviv firm. She holds an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management (Italy) and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Haifa (Israel).
