Global Economic Summit is established as an independent company limited by guarantee (CLG) and proudly functions as the philanthropic foundation for the Business Post Group.
Originating from a collaborative effort among journalists, business leaders, and political figures, the foundation emerged in response to evolving journalism models and the need for impartial analysis that guides fact-based, objective decision-making.
Guided by the insight of our Event Patron and Advisory Board, the Summit strives for the highest standards of integrity, collaboration, and impact.
EVENT PATRON: GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY
Martin J. O’Malley served as Commissioner of the U.S. Social Security Administration, bringing decades of public leadership as former Governor of Maryland and two-term Mayor of Baltimore. Renowned for pioneering data-driven governance, he has championed social and economic justice throughout his career. As Patron of the Global Economic Summit, O’Malley brings statesmanship, integrity, and global perspective, reinforcing GES’s mission to convene leaders, foster innovation, and drive meaningful progress for business, government, and society.
ADVISORY COUNCIL
The GES Advisory Council exists to guide, strengthen, and amplify the mission of the Global Economic Summit: convening global decision-makers to exchange ideas, spark collaboration, and drive systemic change for business and society.
The Council provides strategic counsel on the Summit’s direction, agenda design, and cross-sector engagement, ensuring that GES remains a trusted and distinctive forum for candid dialogue and bold collaboration.
Advisory Council members activate their knowledge and networks to create pathways to leading global expertise, identify emerging issues, and advance engagement with influential voices and ideas. Through their insight, leadership, and advocacy, they help shape an event that delivers real-world impact and upholds the Summit’s commitment to creating value for business and society, rooted in Ireland’s tradition of connection.
