Monique is an expert in corporate affairs, technology policy and communications who has built and led teams around the world for some of the most innovative global technology companies. Throughout her career, she has supported product and market growth and innovation, operational excellence and market expansion for cutting edge companies that are transforming the way we live.
Monique is a Board Director for GoFundMe, Beacon Global Strategies and Flix. Most recently, Monique served as Senior Vice President at Zalando responsible for Corporate Affairs, Communications and Public Policy. Prior to that, Monique served as Twitter’s Vice President, Global Public Policy and Philanthropy.
Previously, Monique served as Global Head of Public Policy for Waymo (Alphabet’s autonomous vehicle subsidiary), leading their advocacy work to launch services in major cities. Monique also served as Vice President of Global Public Policy at Netflix, and prior to that, led Amazon’s and AWS’ international public policy work from 2013-2017 as Vice President, helping to grow the company’s commercial footprint in over 60 countries.
Monique spent her early career at Intel, managing public policy and investing in startups for Intel Capital in Europe and Japan and at Cisco, where she was responsible for Government Affairs and Public Policy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as global sustainability policy.
Monique is a graduate of Tulane University, studied at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, and has a master’s degree from the College of Europe. Monique has dual nationality: American and Irish and lived and raised her kids in Kerry, Ireland. During that time, Monique was an active supporter and mentor of the Kerry Young Entrepreneur Programme to promote entrepreneurship in secondary schools and helped to support technology and R&D investment in Ireland.
